Duties of the Podiatrist:
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' foot health, identifying conditions like ulcers, infections, and other complications, especially in high-risk groups such as individuals with diabetes.
* Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, which may involve wound care, debridement, and other interventions to manage and alleviate foot ulcers and related conditions.
* Provide specialized care for foot wounds, including the selection and application of appropriate dressings, monitoring healing progress, and adjusting treatments as necessary.
Requirements of the Podiatrist:
* Qualified podiatrist (Degree or equivalent within Podiatry).
* Recent experience within podiatry.
* Registered with the HCPC as a podiatrist to work in the UK.
* NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential.
* Skills in High-Risk patient care and ulcer patient care.
* Able to work independently.
* Car driver required – able to travel across county as part of the role.
