The Vacancy
Binnies, an RSK company, is looking for experienced Chartered Engineers to join our highly regarded Flood, Coast & Maritime team. With multiple locations across the UK, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting and diverse flood and coastal projects. This role offers you the chance to lead multidisciplinary teams and make a real difference on projects for key clients such as Natural Resources Wales, the Environment Agency, and local authorities. Key Responsibilities
* Lead the technical delivery of a range of flood risk management, coastal adaptation, and water resource projects.
* Manage multi-disciplinary teams to produce high-quality project deliverables, ensuring they meet client specifications and fall within budget and schedule constraints.
* Provide mentorship to junior engineers and graduates, guiding them towards professional qualifications.
* Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure smooth execution and commercial success of projects.
* Support the development of innovative solutions for river restoration, drainage, and sustainable infrastructure.
* Work on a variety of projects with contract values ranging from £50k to £500k.
* Experience in the flood and coast sector, including the design and appraisal of schemes.
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
* Experience in client and stakeholder engagement, and presenting technical solutions effectively.
* Familiarity with NEC Professional Service Contracts (PSC) and the ability to manage project changes.
* Experience in developing business cases and preferred options using FCERM Appraisal Guidance.
* A focus on sustainable solutions, supporting natural resource management and the journey towards net zero.
* Experience with site construction to enhance design buildability.
