Package Description:
The key purpose of the Business Systems Engineer role is to ensure the digital support and maintain of business systems, aligning them with organisational goals and improving overall efficiency.
This role will also act as a first point of contact through our service desk, on a shift basis, for users experiencing digital support related issues. Providing essential digital support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
This is a full-time role, designated work base is Draycott House, Bristol. This role will involve working at least two days per week at Draycott House and then flexibly from home and across other Brandon sites and other locations as required, working remotely using Brandon technology You would act as an area representative of your speciality at area manager meetings at least 4 times per year and visits to homes of the people we support,
The Salary for the position is £29,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
Key Result areas
* Provide the technical skills to support, implement and configure business systems to support organisational objectives, and aligning with at least 90% compliance on service desk service level agreements.
* Ensure systems are configured well to meet business needs and our policies and processes
* Monitor and evaluate system performance, and reporting on KPIs for systems
* Collaborate with the business systems team and the data and automation team to ensure our systems integrate effectively
* Provide timely and effective technical support to users, resolving hardware and software issues through the service desk with at least 85% compliance with SLA’s
Key Responsibilities
* To work with the business systems team to administer and configure our key business systems, to resolve complex or technical issues that are escalated to this role.
* To work closely with the Business Systems Manager and Analyst to maximize our software investment, aiming for self-service and automation within the software estate
* To ensure we have good processes in place to manage access controls and data extraction of our key business software, ensuring security and compliance with organisational policies
* To act as the first point of contact through our service desk on a shift basis, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to minimise disruption to business operations
* To be upskilled in our key software through vendor training, self-learning and peer learning in the organisation
* To provide training and mentoring to colleagues to enhance their use of business systems and contribute to overall service delivery.
* To monitor and evaluate system performance, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring continuous improvement.
* To stay up to date on systems practice and support the future direction of our plans
Person Specification
* Proven experience in implementing and maintaining business systems
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Successful service desk delivery
* Experience in conducting system audits and ensuring data security
* Track record of successfully aligning systems with business objectives
* Proficiency in business systems maintenance and implementation
* Strong technical skills in system development and maintenance
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to continuously update skills and knowledge and keep Brandon Trust up to date with best practice.
