Job summary Internal only Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist- Echo. Full-Time We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking team player to join our close-knit busy team as a multi-skilled rotational member of the team based within the hub of the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The post holder will be expected to hold full BSE accreditation or equivalent and be a fully independent practitioner performing and reporting a full range of adult echocardiograms to BSE standards. We work in a well-equipped, modern and clean environment with an excellent history of training and great opportunities for development. Work a four-day week, with a fixed day off. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expand their role within the department. We have four imaging consultants, who are all very supportive of cardiac physiologists and their training. We offer a range of clinics dedicated to inherited cardiac conditions, ACHD, TOE, stress echocardiography, Bubble studies, Oncology, CP-led valve clinics, and E-bike. Weekly echo MDT meetings attended by all imaging consultants and all echo physiologists. Quarterly echo training meetings, an opportunity for external training, and attending BSE meetings. Every other month entire cardiac physiology team meeting Main duties of the job Applicants would be expected to have full BSE transthoracic accreditation and have some managerial experience to help drive delivery of the echo service on a daily basis. Additional expectations are: To be able to scan and report independently for both inpatients and outpatients. Superviseand deliver training for cardiac physiologists, STP and ETP trainees, and CardiologyRegistrars. Participate fullyin our range of well-established specialist clinics: Physiologist-led valve clinic Physiologist-led exercise stress echo Adult Congenital echo (a thriving monthly clinic run by visiting Cardiologists from the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford) Inherited disorders clinic Cardio-oncology clinic Cardio-obstetrics clinics Transoeophageal echocardiography (Consultant led). Deputise for echo lead in their absence. Attendance at weekly echo MDT meetings (which are very well attended and supported).
