We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Governance Advisor to join the Governance team reporting into the Head of Product Governance. This role will provide advice and guidance to the business and key stakeholders on product controls/processes needed to meet regulatory product governance requirements (e.g. PROD and Consumer Duty) and aligned to our product governance strategy.
As Product Governance Advisor, you will provide regular formal product governance reporting, including commentary and recommendations. This will include building, maintaining, and managing a schedule of activities to ensure resources are in place to meet these requirements. Working with the business to make recommendations for change or providing additional information where necessary to support the delivery of product governance within the organisation and for external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing detail on timelines and deadlines, creating an annual view of governance tasks, reporting where necessary any issues.
* Designing, developing and implementing a comprehensive plan/tracker in a digestible format to ensure we can track and meet our regulatory obligations, highlighting any potential issues.
* Triaging partner enquiries related to regulatory and governance matters ensuring they are raised with the Product Governance Manager and Head of Product Governance for attention.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance our offerings by considering regulatory and best practice requirements, making recommendations on changes.
* Supporting the Head of Product Governance with a formal annual review of assessment of the Product Review template and its contents aligned to regulations, making recommendations for change/development.
* Ensure that the Consumer Duty Action logs and reporting are kept up to date, chasing down actions to be completed and reporting as necessary.
* Managing and supporting reporting of Consumer Duty Outcomes.
* Providing a regular reporting dashboard to provide detailed analysis of customer outcomes to ensure the Consumer Duty Action plan is up to date.
* Supporting preparation of the Consumer Duty Committee Reporting/Papers.
* Coordinating the Product change process.
* Managing and auditing change logs.
* Providing briefings and support to relevant business stakeholders on the requirements of the change process.
* Support Product Governance in identifying and managing operational, technical, reputational, and regulatory risks by providing regular updates/reports to show progress on activities.
* Supporting the risk management process and assessment of risks on an ongoing basis.
As Product Governance Advisor, you will have a thorough understanding of Product Governance requirements and delivery of key processes and procedures to achieve the requirements of regulations whilst making recommendations for action where they can be improved.
You will be able to:
* Demonstrate a proven understanding of the insurance product/proposition/service domain and development, along with an understanding of customer needs and market trends.
* Exhibit knowledge and proven understanding of FCA regulations including but not limited to the PROD Handbook and Consumer Duty.
* Be accurate in your approach.
* Be guided by the principle of continuous improvement in all tasks undertaken.
* Show proficiency in analysing data to aid informed decision-making.
* Understand risk management frameworks to ensure our product governance is aligned.
* Successfully develop and manage internal and external stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
* Prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
* Think customer-centric and apply this practically in work tasks.
