Female Support Worker Care Support Worker - Female only
This is a fantastic permanent long term Care Support Worker role, with part time hours (16hrs+ per week) and the opportunity for further hours.
We pay a high rate of pay for the sector and area: £14.50 per hour day rate, £16.50 weekend per hour, with enhanced rates for bank holidays.
Working as part of a small team, the successful Care Support Worker will provide one-to-one care for an individual living independently in her own home who receives care on a 24/7 basis.
We require a trustworthy, reliable, and conscientious support worker to work flexible hours on a rota basis, which are planned one month in advance, to help with your work/life balance.
This position is to support independent living for a woman in her 70s, living in her own home in Sunderland (SR4) and going out in the surrounding area.
She requires one-to-one care, supporting her in social activities, assisting with personal care, medication, and other day-to-day tasks, and helping to keep her home safe and clean.
Monitoring her safety at all times is essential.
You will work as part of a team to support her in the wider community to do her chosen activities including:
1. Family
2. Social
3. Shopping
4. Medical and therapy appointments
5. Ensuring she has a safe home environment with COVID-19 and Health and Safety compliance
Experience or NVQ is desirable, but not essential, as we offer full training and support. Applications from people seeking a career change are also welcomed. Support is provided to obtain NVQs, to make this into a long-term career. You will need to have a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle for work usage, which we will pay mileage at 50p per mile. (In the current climate, very limited travel is required).
This position is subject to a full DBS check (fully funded) and references, due to the nature of the role.
