Job Role: Head of Membership
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid - Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth (1-2 days wfh per week)

Job Summary
The Head of Membership will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and engagement of our membership base. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in sales and membership management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to attract, retain, and engage members, ensuring that their needs are met while fostering a vibrant community. The Head of Membership will also oversee the membership team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve departmental goals.
Duties
Work with colleagues, members and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a strong understanding of our industry
Research, develop and deliver the Association’s membership strategy, aligning with the agreed business plan and working closely with the marketing, policy and education departments to deliver an outstanding service to members
Develop creative, effective solutions to strategic membership objectives
Take ownership of the membership strategy and related budget development
Create and implement the annual membership plan, working to and managing the agreed budget
Take responsibility for the efficient, high-quality delivery of all aspects of membership acquisition, engagement and retention, including the performance of your direct reports
Manage, coach and develop members of the membership team
Take ownership of the effective use of the Association’s CRM system
Monitor and measure the results of membership activities against agreed targets and report on progress as required
Work with marketing to conduct research with existing members and industry to inform the overall business strategy and help drive relevant marketing activity
Take ownership of all membership initiatives including the our Annual Awards
Select and manage external agencies and suppliers
Skills
Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM systems for managing member relationships.
Strong analytical skills to assess data trends and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
