Cheshire East Counci l is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our dynamic UASC Team. This role is crucial in providing support and guidance to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, ensuring their safety and facilitating their integration into the community

Primary Responsibilities as a Qualified Social Worker within the UASC Team:
* Conduct thorough age assessments and provide detailed reports.
* Develop and implement care plans that cater to the individual needs of UASC.
* Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care.
* Provide emotional support and advocacy for UASC in various settings.
* Ensure compliance with legal frameworks and policies related to asylum seekers and refugees
* Experience of working with UASC is desired, not not essential. Social Workers can be considered if they have transferable skills from similar roles (Child Protection, Child In Need, Duty and Looked after Children)
What we are looking for in a Qualified Social Worker:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK license
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
