Salary: £49,587.00 - £53,233.00 Per Annum

Duration: Fixed-Term to the end of December 2027 for 37.5 hours per week.
A relocation contribution up to a maximum of £8000 is available, dependent on circumstances.
The Orkney Native Wildlife Project started in 2018 and is a partnership between RSPB Scotland, NatureScot, and Orkney Islands Council. Its purpose is to work with local communities and landowners to undertake the world's largest stoat eradication operation and safeguard the unique and internationally important native wildlife of Orkney.
What's the role about?
As the Operations Delivery Manager for the project, you will manage a project team of over 40 staff to ensure that key milestones and deliverables are met on time and to budget. You will be directly managing an Eradication Operations Manager, Community Engagement Manager, Senior Administrator, Facilities Manager, and Finance Manager. You will report progress to a steering group of project partners, including identifying, recording, managing, and communicating risks and issues, and proposing appropriate contingency actions.
The Role Will Include
* Managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver project objectives, developing the skills and capabilities of the team towards high performance.
* Ensuring the work of the team is delivered following RSPB and partner procedures and funder requirements.
* Project reporting to the steering group and contributing to papers and reports for partners and funders.
* Effective stakeholder management to facilitate collaborative relationships for successful project delivery.
* Monitoring and overseeing management of the project budget to meet financial targets.

* Demonstrable experience of management and development of multidisciplinary teams.
* Visible, inspiring, and effective leadership, engaging and motivating employees and volunteers.
* Ability to lead change and build a positive team culture.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience of developing and working in partnership to achieve shared outcomes.
* Project management skills to manage delivery, risks, costs, and time.
* Experience of working with local communities in a collaborative way.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience
* APM or PMI registered.
* Experience of working in wildlife conservation.
