ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
INEOS Grangemouth is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join our new Central Operations Team. This role aims to improve planned maintenance periods on our site and provides a unique opportunity to work across various assets within the Grangemouth complex.
Key accountabilities
1. Provide technical standards/specifications for work (e.g., pipe/valve specifications).
2. Review the Written Scope or Examination (WSoE) for clarity and alignment with schedule and risk.
3. Prepare Scopes of Work (SoW) or Engineering Information Transmittals (EIT) as needed.
4. Input to the validation of workpacks to meet event requirements.
5. Define and procure Mechanical long lead delivery items.
6. Incorporate engineering/technical data into work packs.
7. Agree TAR prep-engineering milestones with TAR Preps Leader & TAR manager.
8. Check & approve TAR isometrics for compliance with standards.
9. Provide discipline expertise for Mechanical Engineering based TAR workscope.
10. Track and progress technical queries to closure.
ABOUT YOU
You should:
1. Be Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered or working towards it) OR have HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering/Fabrication/Construction with extensive TAR/Shutdown experience.
2. Have knowledge of P&IDs, isometrics, and technical specifications.
3. Possess strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
4. Have a logical and proactive approach to problem solving.
5. Effectively interact with multi-disciplined teams.
6. Demonstrate commitment to improving SHE performance.
You may also:
