Job overview
Are you interested and have experience in Eating disorders or Child adolescent mental Health services? This is an exciting opportunity in our Lincolnshire County wide CAMHS Eating disorder service for a full time (37.5 hour) Band 6 Eating Disorder Nurse.
We are a highly specialised team providing psychotherapy for young people up to the age of 18 suffering from Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, or Binge eating disorder. Working closely with Adult Eating Disorder services, we also provide the delivery of FREED (First Episode Rapid Early intervention for Eating Disorders).
Our team offers early specialist assessment and intervention using evidence-based approaches to young people, alongside their family/carers. These interventions include FBT, CBT-E, and Guided self Help.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and gain experience in this specialist field, working alongside a knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated MDT, who are active in research, education, and training. Our team comprises Psychiatry, Psychologists, Specialist Nurses, FREED Specialist/Clinical Lead, and Support workers.
You will receive regular supervision and will be actively encouraged and supported in continual professional development. Specialist training, learning, and teaching opportunities are encouraged and supported in this position.
Main duties of the job
* Work within a multidisciplinary team, carrying out thorough assessments of new referrals and participating in team discussions for specialist treatment decisions.
* Manage a clinical caseload of children and young people with complex needs, with supervision to reflect on practice and develop skills.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment offered and provide clinical data/outcome measures as required.
* Liaise with professionals from other services, offering support and guidance on managing young persons' needs.
* Participate in a Professional Development Review to identify development needs and formulate a development plan with your line manager.
* Welcome and support students attending the service.
* Work alongside an experienced team to support training delivery.

Person specification
Qualifications
* RMN/ RNLD/RNC with current registration.
* ENB998 / FliPS or equivalent.
* Evidence of specialized continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice.
* Mentorship Module (degree level).
Experience
* Post-qualifying experience in a CAMHS or Eating Disorder service.
* Relevant post-registration experience with mental health needs.
* Experience managing and developing staff, including providing management supervision.
* Experience using evidence-based practice.
Skills
* Expert knowledge of Child Care legislation, Safeguarding, Mental Health Act, and the Care Programme Approach.
* Excellent knowledge of current local and national strategies concerning CAMHS, Children’s Services, and eating disorders.
* Sound understanding of child and adolescent development and risk management of young people in crisis.
