You will manage the company’s credit control ensuring timely payment of invoices, reducing the risk of bad debt. Location: Wakefield Salary: £26k - £30k Job Type : Full-time (part-time candidates considered) Duties and Responsibilities: Chase Invoices : Actively pursue overdue payments. Maximize Collections : Use strategies to boost cash flow. Follow Up : Schedule regular follow-ups. Anticipate Issues : Address payment delays early. Automate : Use systems for reminders. Contact Overdue Accounts : Use phone, email, and letters. Record Payments : Ensure accurate records. Credit Checks : Assess customer creditworthiness. Set Limits : Monitor and set credit limits. Update Files : Keep credit information current. Manage Debt Collection : Oversee processes. Liaise with Agencies : Work with debt collectors and legal reps. Negotiate : Handle disputes and repayment plans. Improve Efficiency : Streamline processes You will need to demonstrate: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks Proactive approach to chasing payments and managing collections High attention to detail and accuracy Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role within the finance department
