Job Description:
As a Qualified Dental Nurse, you will work closely with our orthodontic and implant dentists, providing essential chairside assistance and ensuring a smooth patient journey. While experience with implants is preferred, we are willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in this specialised field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist orthodontic and implant dentists during procedures, ensuring efficient workflow.
* Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including the sterilization of instruments and preparation of materials specific to orthodontics and implants.
* Provide chairside support, ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout their treatment.
* Record and maintain accurate patient records, including orthodontic charts, implant documentation, and treatment notes.
* Ensure compliance with cross-infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care specific to orthodontics and implants.
* Manage patient appointments and assist in coordinating complex treatment plans.
* Assist with reception and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
* Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.
* Experience in orthodontics or implant dentistry is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
