Talent Guardian is partnering with a manufacturing client to find an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a 12–month fixed–term contract based in Poole.
In this role, you'll support the finance team with project management, reporting, and aiding commercial decisions, making a positive impact on the business. A hands–on and adaptable approach is key.
Responsibilities:
* Review business bids to ensure they align with expectations, escalating any risks.
* Manage daily invoicing, revenue forecasts, and weekly group reporting.
* Monitor invoicing milestones, providing regular updates and variance analysis.
* Assist with month–end revenue recognition and margin preparation.
* Collaborate with project managers to understand contract costs and project updates.
* Support profitability reporting and prepare monthly management reports.
* Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and year–end audit processes.
* Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Senior Finance Business Partner or Finance Director.
Qualifications:
* Committed to ongoing development, studying towards professional qualification ACCA, ACA, CIMA, Experience of SAGE accounting & MRP (manufacturing and resource planning) software packages
* Intermediate to advance level in MS Excel
* Experience of MS Word/PowerPoint
