East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), has an opportunity for a care assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, although part-time hours of over 24 per week can be considered. This position will be based at The Nook Hospice, Framingham Earl in Norfolk. Our standard shift pattern is 12.5 hour shifts - day shifts, 7.30am - 8pm and night shifts, 7.30pm - 8am. We also have homecare shifts which will be based out in the community and these hours can vary. We offer enhanced rates for the weekends, evenings and bank holidays. M ain duties include: Deliver person-centred planned care to designated babies, children and young people. Administer medicines as an authorised practitioner. Ensure care plans are kept up to date, delivery of care is accurately recorded, and records are maintained in accordance with EACH policies and procedures. Participate in planning and delivering family wellbeing groups and events, and hydrotherapy. Provide support and assistance to other team members when carrying out nursing procedures or wellbeing activities and events For further information, please see the attached job description. About the Candidate If you are a skilled care assistant, you will need the following experience and skills to be considered: A full UK driving license with the ability to travel to locations within the hospices region. NVQ Level 3 qualification desirable (health and social care). Experience of working within a similar caring profession, working with children or young people. Highly motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking individual. Strong English language skills, both verbal and written. Good IT skills, Word, Excel and Outlook experience required. Ability to undertake physical activities and manual handling to support the varying needs of our service users in line with the requirements of the role.
