Your Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Setting and operating CNC Turning centres.
2. Occasional editing of programmes.
3. Use of conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco.
4. Ensuring that programmes are working effectively.
5. Observing the company's health and safety rules.
6. Performing general duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the section.
The ideal candidate will have:
* CNC setting and operating experience with 2-axis Turning Centres.
* Knowledge of CNC programs.
* Proven setting and proving skills.
* Ability to understand engineering drawings.
* Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds, cutters, etc.
* Ability to use measuring instruments such as micrometers and vernier gauges.
* Capability to work with a high degree of complexity and accuracy.
* Proven experience in aerospace or precision engineering.
* Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement.
* 25 days holiday.
* Competitive salary ranging from £16.50 to £17.50, depending on experience.
