Product Manager Location: Nr Royston (must be a car driver due to location) Salary: £50-60k discretionary bonus at the end of the year (Company performance led) Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00, Friday: 08:30–15:45. About the Role: Our client is a leading company in the gas detection industry and is seeking an experienced and motivated Product Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of its Gas and Particulate Sensors. This role involves driving the strategic direction of existing and future products while ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards. As the Product Manager, you will collaborate with various teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the company's growth by delivering innovative and market-leading sensor solutions. Key Responsibilities: Take full ownership of the sensor product range, managing its lifecycle and ensuring alignment with customer and market needs. Engage with end users, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and inform product development. Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for new products and improvements to existing ones. Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals, covering full product lifecycles. Work closely with R&D, Project Management, and Operations to ensure new products are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. Provide technical and application support to the sales team and external partners, enabling them to achieve sales targets. Support partners with product training and information to enhance their capabilities. Monitor global market developments and competitive activity to maintain a leading position. Collaborate with marketing to create product collateral, including manuals, data sheets, promotional materials, and video content. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including beta trials and launch activities. Manage the technical support function to ensure exceptional customer service and team development. Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information. Skills and Experience: Proven experience in product management, ideally within the gas detection or related industry such as sensors. Strong technical knowledge of sensors and the ability to quickly develop expertise in the product range. Formal product management training is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Strategic, methodical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads, and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in preparing compelling business cases and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences. Familiarity with industry drivers such as legislation and technological advancements.
