Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and develop relationships within existing customer base as well as establishing relationships with new customers above and beyond current base.
2. Identify new business opportunities for AVL, including new industries.
3. Quotation development.
4. Key Account Management – responsible for developing extended relationships within key accounts and monitoring delivery of projects.
YOUR PROFILE:
Essential:
1. Degree-level technical education.
2. Previous experience of engineering projects in the automotive industry and in electrification topics or related topics regarding decarbonisation.
3. Highly customer-focused and able to solve customer-related concerns to mutual satisfaction.
4. Ability to independently scope out and calculate project requirements with input from technical teams and senior management.
5. Ability to prepare project proposals, present to customers, and conduct follow-up negotiations.
6. Appreciation of future challenges faced by customers and ability to identify how AVL can support customers to solve such challenges.
7. Planning, prioritising and co-ordinating workload with minimal guidance.
8. Willingness to travel and a flexible and adaptable nature.
9. Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
10. Excellent inter-personal skills.
11. Excellent written English.
Preferable:
1. Previous experience of engineering projects outside of the automotive industry.
2. Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment with multiple customers.
3. An understanding of AVL’s existing market presence and market presence both locally and globally.
4. Experience with sales tools and software, for example, foreign language skills to assist with internal/external networking.

Annual Remuneration: Due to UKVI compliance requirements, we are obligated to state the annual gross salary (full-time) for this position. The salary range is between £50,000 - £70,000 and we will offer market-conforming remuneration taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
