Job Description
The key responsibilities for the HR Advisor role are:
Human Resources
* Act as first response to general employee enquiries and management of the HR Inbox.
* Support Group Senior HR Advisor in Employee Relations such as capability investigations, mediations, grievances and disciplinaries.
* End-to-end ER support to managers for low-risk cases and performance management.
* Updating and maintaining HR profiles on PeopleHR ensuring that all documentation is stored correctly.
* Chasing for new starter documentation, such as qualifications, medical questionnaires, proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address and proof of ID.
* Proactively ensuring that New Starters have all necessary equipment and receive adequate training at the Onboarding stage.
* Logging visa expiry dates on PeopleHR and chasing for renewal paperwork in a timely manner.
* Updating confidential information using the internal HR system, respecting the need for confidentiality and Data Protection.
* Monthly reporting on HR data e.g. absenteeism, turnover with a proactive approach to raising concerns to the Group Senior HR Advisor.
* Identifying opportunities and solutions for improvement of processes.
Learning and Development
* Assist in the creation of eLearning to aid learning in different departments across the group.
* Deliver training to junior employees e.g. Mentor scheme, New Starters.
* Management of all aspects of the LMS.
* Ownership of the competency matrix, keeping this updated as job descriptions change, and new ones are added.
* Update training records accordingly on PeopleHR for new and existing staff, with the view of all staff having an up to date and complete training record.
* Provide feedback and data from learning carried out across the business and identify needs for future training planning, based on these metrics.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the HR Advisor role is someone with the following:
* Willing to study for CIPD level 5
* Good attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience in HR administration.
* Be a fast learner and be able to hit the ground running.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
* Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills.
* Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and to keep to strict deadlines.
* Skilled at prioritising obligations.
* Personable and strong relationship builder.
* Commercial awareness.
* Independent work ethic.
