Become a vital part of a Kidlington based University of Oxford department as a temporary Facilities Technician! From reactive repairs to proactive maintenance, ensure smooth operations. If you have prior building maintenance experience and a proactive attitude we would love to hear from you!
This assignment is due to commence ASAP for approximately 12 weeks in the first instance, on a Full-Time basis.
Duties include:
* Perform reactive repairs and maintenance for grounds, buildings, and equipment while monitoring stock levels of consumables.
* Ensure high standards of health and safety by conducting regular building checks, identifying maintenance needs, and resolving issues promptly.
* Conduct minor maintenance tasks for boilers, air handling plant, and extract plant, as well as minor refurbishments and installations of laboratory equipment.
* Conduct Portable Appliance testing after receiving training.
* Operate and understand the Building Management System, perform security and fire alarm system operations including weekly testing, maintain compliance logs, and report any issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in building maintenance, familiarity with Health and Safety regulations, literacy and numeracy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer service skills, organisation, and adaptability.
