About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to support with the supervision and organisation of teams and ensure that a culture of performance, safety and quality is embedded within the service.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervising small teams and ensuring they operate at optimum performance, meeting or exceeding targets.
2. Assisting the Stewards in programming and ordering materials and plant needed by the team.
3. Conducting Out of Hours duties in response to adverse weather and incidents on the highways.
The successful candidates will be organised, focused, and have a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all team work is completed to the expected quality. Proven experience of motivating and leading staff is essential.
A full UK Driving Licence is essential, as well as experience in a relevant field with the use of plant and equipment associated with the role. Good levels of communication and personal conduct are key in this customer-focused service.
We are looking for people who can adapt well to the demands of the service, who can travel throughout Cumbria and surrounding areas, and who are willing to take part in winter maintenance function or other out of hours functions.
