Risk Officer 14 Month Contract (Maternity Cover) Rate: £450 Location: Taunton About the Role A key Government client of mine is seeking a motivated individual to join their Business Assurance team for the next 14 months. You will be coming into the business to support by understanding, reviewing, and providing advice about governance (how decisions are made) and risk management (threats, uncertainties, and opportunities to achieve our objectives). Key Responsibilities Providing administrative support Assisting with reporting requirements e.g. to The Executive Leadership Team and Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee Engaging with key areas of the business and building strong working relationships Managing a varied and demanding workload in a fast-paced environment Adapting to changing priorities and offering effective solutions Qualifications International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management (IRMCert) professional qualification or equivalent and/or substantive demonstratable 3-5 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management is essential Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO9001:2015) would be useful Previous experience of performing administrative tasks including good report-writing skills Confidence/Ability to work with staff at all levels & build strong working relationships; Good organisational skills & previous experience of working as part of a team; Previous experience of working autonomously, showing initiative, and managing own workload. Required Skills The ability to organise and prioritise work; Excellent numeracy and literacy skills to undertake a range of tasks; Knowledge and skills of using technology e.g. Word, Excel, MS Teams, PowerPoint & SharePoint; Ability to produce accurate work with a high level of detail; Good communication and influencing skills The ability to adapt to and embrace change. Team working Enthusiasm and an interest in business assurance Please Note Active BPSS is required This role is hybrid working - a fter an initial period in the office getting up to speed in the first month. There will then be an expectation of typically 3 days weekly in the office.
