Job summary Band 6 CT/MRI Radiographer (Cross-Sectional Radiographer) or Band 5 Trainee An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer to join our friendly and hardworking CT and MRI teams at TRFT, working flexibly across both modalities as a Cross-sectional Radiographer. We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused Radiographer to support our expanding imaging services. Applications are welcome from experienced Radiographers or those applying for a Band 5 training role. You will work with state-of-the-art Siemens equipment including Sola and Avanto 1.5T MRI scanners, and Somatom Drive Dual source, AS 128-slice, and Somatom Go CT scanners, across our acute site and Community Diagnostic Centre. Our services support a wide range of specialities including Trauma, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, General Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Breast, Neurology, and Stroke Services. We actively support postgraduate education and professional growth, helping you develop in this highly specialised field. The role requires flexibility to work across a 7-day rota including long days, nights, and weekend shifts, whilst supporting work-life balance. Youll independently run scan lists, ensuring timely, high-quality imaging whilst delivering outstanding patient care. Clear and compassionate communication is essential. You will rotate between our acute hospital site and our new Rotherham Community Diagnostic Centre, adapting to the different workflows and challenges each setting presents. Flexibility and resilience are key in maintaining service quality across both environments. Working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, you will liaise closely with Radiologists, referrers, and colleagues to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred imaging. Youll also contribute to protocol development, equipment safety, quality assurance, and service improvement. Excellent teamwork, professionalism, and a flexible approach are vital.
