The Head of Internal Planning is accountable for planning activities across all SGB sites, with the purpose of improving the reliability of the end-to-end process whilst optimising costs and lead times. They support and engage all planning teams to align, deliver and meet or exceed the needs of our internal and external customers
Key responsibilities will include:
• Develop the Planning team capabilities through functional training and coaching.
• Oversee the tactical execution of day-to-day planning activities across Production Planning and Control and Program Planning
• Analyse and incorporate the variations in demand into the supply plan
• Propose and execute action plans to reduce business risks to maintain the desired service level within the scope of activities
• Manage the backlog in each work centre, looking to reduce, manage and improve
performance
• Establish detailed production schedules Seats GB
• Build strategy for Planning team, looking for opportunities with technology and ways of working
• Key member of the SC Leadership team, working closely with peers to co-ordinate the execution of the production plan, identify areas for improvement and drive to completion
• Ensure the reliability of the data and its accuracy within the ERP system
• Measure and analyse performance of the Planning processes in line with the site's balance
score card objectives and provide the required daily/weekly/monthly reports. Analyse the root cause of performance gaps and work to develop the necessary action/recovery plans
• Ensure appropriate resource allocations across the assigned functions is in place to support business growth.
• Lead and contribute to lean and improvement projects and ensure that changes introduced are replicated within the processes and IS systems to ensure the effectiveness of planning parameters
• Drive improvement in Readiness review
• Participate in make or buy committee preparation on the outsourcing or insourcing of products
• Embed QRQC through the team
• Ownership of ECR management through the Supply Chain to meet our internal and external custom demands
• Support the SC CoE team in terms of prioritising training, identifying opportunities and supporting through enabling the team to attend training

Supply Chain Experience in manufacturing environment
Technical Knowledge of MRP2 principles
Experience in Business Economics
Relevant professional qualification
Familiar with the information systems used in the Supply Chain: i.e. ERP, Supplier Portal / Familiar with desktop tools
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to analyse information with a high attention to detail
Able to build strong working relationships
