Staff Selection are currently working with our transport specialist client in the Keighley area. Due to rapid expansion, our client is now looking for an experienced administrator to join their transport team.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with day to day operations
2. Scan and label PODs and reference to TMS
3. Receive jobs and add to system
4. Correspond with customers regarding deliveries, to obtain the POD where required and any other associated information required
5. Correspond with Drivers Daily to assist with deliveries and collections
6. Identify and address discrepancies
7. Update all databases and spreadsheets related to transport functions
8. Update TMS when required
9. Communicate and update other departments and customers on status of loads.
10. Assist customers and other departments with warehouse enquiries
Key skills and interests:
1. Good customer care skills
2. Good written and verbal English
3. Good computer and Keyboard skills
4. An ability to work independently and as a team
5. An ability to work under pressure
The right candidate will have experience in a previous administration role and preferably have some knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
Your working week will be 40 hours per week but you must be flexible, normal hours will be between 09:00 and 17:00 but may be required to cover other shifts as early as 06:00 and as late as 22:00.
It is preferable that you drive just in case of a change in hours, however this is not essential.
