Our public sector client is seeking an experiencedHomelessnessReview Officerto lead and manage statutory housing reviews underPart 7, Section 202and, where required,Part 6of the Housing Act 1996. This role is predominantly remote with occasional travel to Northamptonshire. You will ensure all decisions made by the Housing Advice and Options Service arelegally compliant, fair, and robustwhile delivering a high standard of service to applicants. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage statutory reviews ensuring that all reviews are completed within statutory timescales and in accordance with relevant legislation, case law, and best practice. Ensure that all decisions are robust, defensible, and legally sound by providing expert oversight, quality assurance, and feedback to decision-makers. Manage a personal caseload including complex and high-profile reviews ensuring detailed investigations, clear communication with applicants, and high-quality decision letters are produced. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including legal representatives, advocacy groups, and partner agencies, to ensure transparency, fairness, and effective communication throughout the review process. Requirements: Experience as aHomelessnessReview Officer, specifically handlingSection 202 housing reviews (MUST HAVE TWO YEARS). Strong understanding ofhomelessness legislation, case law, and housing allocation policies. Ability to workindependently in a remote/hybrid environment, with occasional travel to meet customers. Excellent communication, decision-making, and analytical skills.
