An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a full time Deputy Care Home Manager at Rawreth Court Care Home based in Rayleigh, Essex. Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the holistic assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of program’s of care for residents/clients with Mental Health needs referred to the service. At all times upholding and teaching the Recovery model and being mindful of all physical health needs and social inclusion ensuring that anti stigma is upheld.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder works under the overall supervision of the Home Manager, but is required to undertake the duties of the post without direct supervision. They are required to teach other nursing and non-nursing staff allocated to their particular area. The post holder is designated as the person to take charge regularly in the absence of the Home Manager, with prior agreement, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward. In addition, the post holder will be expected to take a key role as lead on the clinical practice within the area, demonstrating good leadership skills whilst ensuring robust standards of care are in place, including physical, mental health and social needs ensuring these are implemented and evaluated.
Person specification
Education/ Qualifications
* RMN or RGN
* Proven experience at band 5
* Evidence of personal and professional development in contemporary mental health
* Ability to act as a mentor/preceptor of junior staff
Skills/Experience
* Good oral communication skills based on fluency in the English language
* Competent in leading a shift prioritising, assessing and managing risk
* Able to undertake comprehensive assessments, including physical health, health promotion and social inclusion
* Good understanding of Medication Management and the importance of accurate recording.
* Produce Personalised Care Plans in line with the Assessment and Risk Assessment.
