Ann’s Home Care is recruiting a full-time, as and when Team Leader to join our busy Home Care Team in Newtownabbey.
The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing a high-quality service to clients in their own homes by monitoring the quality of care. This will require sufficient flexibility to work unsociable hours if required.
The Company
Ann’s Home Care is a family-run home care agency, with 25 years of experience in the delivery and management of home care services.
Our Care Assistants are at the absolute heart of what we do, delivering front-line care to those in need. Working out in the community, our Care Assistants give care and support to elderly and/or vulnerable people who have difficulties with their daily activities, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

Key Requirements
* Have a minimum of 3 years in health care.
* Educated to NVQ level 2.
* Access to a car and a full driving licence.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
* Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards the needs of clients and their families.
* The ability to provide leadership, support, and supervision to a team.
Key Tasks and Duties
* By example through own daily work, maintain the highest standards of care, professionalism, and presentation.
* Actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to clients to ensure that their physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs are met while ensuring dignity, choice, independence, and respect.
* Promote best practice and accountability through spot checks and unplanned staff supervisions.
* Monitor the quality of care delivered to clients.
* Be responsible for the preparation, implementation, review, and update of all client care plans.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Uphold and promote the highest standards of professional practice amongst carers while promoting the values of Ann’s Home Care.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with company policy.
* Conduct risk assessments in clients’ homes both on an annual and as needed basis.
* Assist in the implementation of new care packages ensuring that care plans are placed within clients’ homes within two days of acceptance of care package and that all scheduled carers have been introduced and shadowed into the call.
* Assist in the induction of new care workers ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
* Assist in training programmes.
* Provide accurate and professional verbal and written reports of all complaints, accidents, and incidents in clients’ homes.
* Assist care managers in rota management providing information and support on start times and best fit for rotas.
* Assist in the Company’s Quality Control programme.
* Undertake shift cover activities as and when required.
