We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced team leader to lead our well-established team of operators within the centralized switchboard service based at Moseley Hall Hospital, and the Portering Service across Moseley and West Heath Hospital.
The department provides a communication service to patients, customers, general public and staff, 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
Knowledge and experience of managing a busy switchboard environment is essential. You are to deal with calls in a tactful, diplomatic and courteous manner at all times, demonstrating good interpersonal skills, even when working under pressure.
The successful candidate will lead the switchboard team, and support the portering team and reception team, produce rota's for all areas of responsibility. Work with ESR and Health roster systems.
You will be responsible to allocate and approve annual leave, complete sickness absence reviews, and annual appraisals.
You will have a flexible outlook, you may on occasions be expected to work unsociable hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required, this could be at short notice.
