Our client seeks a Management Accountant to join their central finance team.
Role Profile
As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate accounting records for a number of group entities. This role encompasses a wide range of accounting tasks and financial processes, allowing you to build on existing experience as you further develop your accounting skills and grow your knowledge. Collaborating with the existing team, you will produce accurate and timely management reporting to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
* Full trial balance preparation and profit and loss variance analysis.
* Maintain accounting schedules such as prepayments, accruals and fixed assets.
* Review AP/AR invoice postings.
* Posting of bank transactions and bank reconciliations.
* Support the finance team in various operational duties as required, such as invoice and payment processing.
* Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly VAT return.
* Aid in managing cash flow.
* Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.
* Collaborate with the finance team to fulfil operational reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
* Assist the finance team during the annual external audit process.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
* Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience with knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.
* Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a solid working knowledge.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different departments.
Desirable
* Prior experience as part of a finance team
* Experience with VAT returns and Isle of Man tax returns
* Experience with Sage Intacct
