The Mobile Service Engineer (MSE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of customer equipment. Are you a mechanically minded problem-solver with a background in technical support? Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Basic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on designated equipment, completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
2. Ordering and managing service vehicle spare parts, keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
3. Maintaining daily communication with internal service management and customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
4. Maintaining tools and test equipment, ensuring relevant equipment is calibrated and abiding by the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
5. Utilizing the company's escalation process to resolve a customer’s technical difficulties or service delivery issues, identifying and participating in sales opportunities as they arise in your daily customer contacts.
6. Working with the whole after-sales team to provide efficient service delivery to all customers. The ability to lift and carry a toolbox that can weigh up to 25Kg.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
2. Valid driving license.
3. Experience as a service engineer working with electrical and hydraulic equipment along with both petrol & diesel powered equipment.
4. Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, troubleshooting and responding to customers' concerns.
5. Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
6. Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
7. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.
9. Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
10. Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, decision making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
11. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
12. Able to work productively in a pressurized environment, ethical and trustworthy.
