Join our Supply Chain and Manufacturing Team
The Diageo Supply Chain and Procurement business has 8 packaging sites, Runcorn, Belfast Beer Packaging, Sheildhall, Leven, Baileys Belfast, Baileys Dublin, Guinness Dublin, Santa Vittoria and Don Julio in Mexico. Leven is Diageo’s current Global Site of the year and it is also the largest of our packaging sites comprising of 3 large bottling halls, a luxury products area and extensive spirit supply areas.
We have a new opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join us in Leven and drive the compliance agenda on site ensuring that not only are we on top of all our legislative requirements but that we are ahead of the curve, seeing what future changes are coming and preparing accordingly.
Your Impact on the Role
This role will involve working with operator and management teams to deliver engineering compliance expertise across the area/site and support the operational team to resolve complex compliance problems. You will lead the deployment of the MMS (Diageo’s approach to CI) Asset Care practices with respect to Compliance improve and transform activities.
This role will also develop and lead all aspects of control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies. In order to ensure this you will continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of our controls along with r evising procedures and reports periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is key to the success of this role in to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations. You will be reviewing the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
It is also vital that we keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control so that we stay ahead of the curve.
Finally you will be preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
About You
* BSc in Compliance / Engineering Management or degree equivalent is needed
* Certified Compliance professional is a plus.
* Proven experience as a compliance manager.
* Ability to manage people performance, mentor and development of a multi-disciplined team.
* In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations.
* Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
* A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
* Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
* An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Certified compliance professional is a plus
* Track record of maintenance management, asset care strategy development and engagement.
Desirable Qualities:
* Good working knowledge of Environmental legislation and standards
* Best in class people management practices
* Deep knowledge of ME, packaging, lean methodologies, process control, RCM
* SAP (or MRP systems), Planned Maintenance, Environmental and Quality systems
