If yes, this could be the opportunity for you St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to the role of EHCP Officer. The successful candidate will effectively review and maintain Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within Inclusive Learning by working effectively with students, parents and college staff as prescribed by the SEND Code of Practice. The successful candidate must have: Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area SEND qualification Maths and English to Level 2 or a willingness to work towards. Experience of working with young people in an advisory or support role in FE. Full understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the expectations and duties towards young people regarding transition An understanding of the special educational needs, disabilities and other barriers that young people may present within school. Ability to profile and assess needs, to devise a Transition Plan and contribute ideas for appropriate support from college. Ability to build rapport with young people and offer unbiased advice to support their next steps in education. Knowledge and understanding of EHCPs and the role of colleges.
