Lead Specialist in Microbiology and Infection Control
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead and manage teams of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals ensuring effective antimicrobial stewardship across the Trust.
The estimated annual salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000, depending on experience.
About the Role:
* To develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures related to antimicrobial use and infection control.
* To collaborate with clinicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to optimize antimicrobial prescribing and reduce antibiotic resistance.
* To provide education and training to healthcare professionals on antimicrobial stewardship and infection control best practices.
* To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage teams of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
You must be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have hospital and ward-based clinical experience.
A minimum of 6 months previous work experience within an acute healthcare setting is required.
Effective communication skills and an excellent attendance record are essential.
