Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Solicitor with expertise in inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal and advisory work in a Healthcare context to join our team to represent practitioners and entities including MPS members, insurers/insureds and the NHS. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of cases, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a varied caseload of inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal and advisory matters from inception to resolution.
2. Provide expert legal advice on such matters, including drafting, reviewing documents as well as doing their own advocacy.
3. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
4. Draft and review legal documents, including representations and submissions.
5. Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence.
6. Attend hearings as required.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Requirements:
1. Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE.
2. Strong knowledge and experience in handling inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal and advisory matters.
3. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
4. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
8. High level of professionalism and integrity.
