Are you ready to join a team of talented modellers to help shape the future of water infrastructure?
Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Environment team as a Hydraulic Modeller focusing on wastewater networks in our rapidly growing UK team. You can be based in our Leeds, Manchester, Chesterfield, Bristol, Cardiff, Basingstoke, Croydon, St Albans, Exeter, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin or Cork offices - as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.
You will be a key player in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. We enable the development of nationally significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects, and this variety will be fundamental to your continuous professional growth. A unique aspect of our approach is that our modelling team is fully integrated with the wider project teams, ensuring that our modellers work closely alongside experts in other areas to develop comprehensive solutions.
As an industry leader in Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we work with both public and private sector clients such as Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, the Environment Agency, LLFAs and other infrastructure providers to deliver Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs. Additionally, we shape industry standards by advising and developing guidance that benchmarks best practices, keeping AECOM at the forefront of the Water industry. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to support a talented, diverse team committed to innovation, collaboration, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver: Complete hydraulic model build and verification of sewer networks; develop integrated models, scope and plan flow survey studies including flow survey verification, and support development of catchment scale strategic solutions for flooding and pollution risks.
* Technical Expertise: Contribute to technical innovation including application of new technologies; problem solve using data analysis, and support in the development of tender responses.
* Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate modelling findings effectively using strong communication skills.
* Quality: Ensure quality and compliance with modelling specifications.
Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what's possible?
Here's what we're looking for:
* A degree in Environmental Sciences, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or similar subject.
* Experience in Hydraulic Modelling or Asset management, in particular Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset.
* Experience in Hydraulic Modelling GIS or Data Analysis, in particular ArcGIS or MapInfo.
* Awareness of the wider water and environmental industry.
