At Clayton Legal Recruitment – We are working closely with this firm to recruit an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor
Their Property Litigation team covers the full spectrum of property disputes for both commercial and residential landowners, landlords and tenants. The team acts for a number of high profile, household names alongside a variety of developers, managing agents, investors and private clients.
The role:
As a Property Litigation Solicitor, you will largely work with autonomy on your own caseload with partner supervision and support partners on larger disputes. This is a client facing role where you will be encouraged to develop your professional skills and own business development strategies.
Key responsibilities:
1. Dealing with new enquires from new and existing clients;
2. Managing a busy caseload of a variety of disputes;
3. Taking instructions from clients, legal research, case analysis and drafting letters/emails/documents;
4. Assisting partners and senior solicitors on high value/complex disputes;
5. Managing compliance and cashflow on files;
6. Producing articles, video content and delivering external/internal training; and
7. Developing and assisting with the implementation of business development strategies.
Your caseload will cover all types of property disputes, including but not limited to:
8. Boundary and easement disputes
9. Professional negligence claims
10. Dilapidation claims
11. Contract disputes
12. Breach of covenant claims
13. Landlord and tenant disputes
14. Nuisance and trespass claims
15. Break notices
16. Lease renewals
17. Forfeiture
18. Lease extensions and enfranchisement
19. Service charge disputes
20. Trusts of land disputes
21. Commercial and residential possession claims
What we are looking for:
22. A qualified solicitor with 3 – 5 years’ post qualification experience (PQE)
23. Strong academic history
24. Strong experience in property disputes
25. An ability to run your own caseload proactively and effectively
26. An outgoing and friendly manner alongside an ability to adapt and work at a fast pace
27. Excellent work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude
