Job summary The post-holder will be part of a team which is responsible for emergency preparedness, resilience and business continuity planning within the Herts and West Essex areas. Responsibilities will include ensuring that effective and up to date plans are in place to comply with emergency planning, resilience and response legislation and guidance, including the Civil Contingency Act (CCA 2004). The post-holder will proactively provide specialist advice, knowledge and expertise to ICB and system colleagues. Main duties of the job - The post-holder will proactively provide specialist advice, knowledge, and expertise to identify and classify risks, impacts and consequences of threats to services commissioned on behalf of the population of HWE ICB to ensure patient and staff safety. This will require a broad knowledge of commissioned services and internal directorates in order to support directors and senior managers in the development of both the wider system's emergency preparedness arrangements and business continuity plans. This includes the ICB's own internal arrangements.- The post holder will be the main point of contact for West Essex place base) in emergency preparedness matters and will ensure that HWE ICB is able to lead the ICB response to any incidents, providing cross cover where needed.
