Location: Manchester, UK, Hybrid
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
* Support the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
* Ensure system performance, reliability, and security are optimised.
* Assist in migrating and upgrading systems and applications.
* Provide ongoing support for infrastructure-related issues.
* Document configurations, processes, and best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in infrastructure engineering, including system administration, networking, and cloud technologies.
* Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
* Knowledge of virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
* Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
* Experience with DevOps practices.
* Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco).
