Homes Together offers residential care to young adults with varying needs who require full-time care and support.
We are looking for someone who can be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being for our service users. This role requires excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for adults with learning disabilities and visual impairments.
Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
1. Consulting Service Users to determine what activities they are interested in.
2. Devising a programme of activities that Service Users can regularly access.
3. Researching and implementing new activities.
4. Arranging transport, where necessary, for Service Users and any support workers to access activities.
Requirements or Skills:
1. A relevant teaching qualification.
2. Skills and experience in a range of specialist communication strategies.
3. You should be familiar with working towards aspirations with clearly defined outcomes.
4. Previous experience in devising activities programmes is essential.
5. You will be compassionate and enjoy interacting with people.
6. A warm and friendly disposition.
7. A positive attitude.
8. A genuine passion for providing and enhancing the life of the people we support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.80 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
