We are working on behalf a large financial services consultancy firm. They offer restructuring, legal and funding solutions to businesses across the UK.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth for our insolvency and funding business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategic partnerships to generate leads for the whole business group.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within insolvency, restructuring, and funding sectors.
* Build and maintain relationships with accountants, solicitors, financial advisors, and other referral partners.
* Generate leads for company voluntary arrangements (CVAs), administrations, liquidations, and other insolvency solutions.
* Promote funding options such as business loans, invoice finance, asset finance, and turnaround funding.
* Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets through effective business development strategies.
Client & Partner Engagement:
* Act as the key point of contact for potential clients, ensuring a consultative approach to identifying their needs.
* Conduct meetings with business owners, directors, and financial decision-makers to assess their financial position.
* Work closely with insolvency practitioners and finance teams to provide tailored solutions.
* Deliver presentations and networking events to generate awareness of our services.
Market Research & Strategy:
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in insolvency regulations.
* Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market reach and drive business growth.
* Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance and market opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
* Some understanding of insolvency processes, business restructuring, and commercial finance would be great.
* Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with professional intermediaries.
* Ability to identify client needs and provide appropriate insolvency or funding solutions.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
* Experience in insolvency, corporate finance, or commercial lending is advantageous.
