The Role
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school for boys and girls aged 7 - 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states, “pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with.”

We are looking for an exceptional Part-Time Teacher of English and Juniors who can provide highly effective and innovative teaching across Key Stage 2 and English in the Senior School, ensuring that all students make excellent progress and develop a passion for learning.
All KS4 students study both English Language and English Literature at GCSE, and we are keen to build on the academic successes achieved by students across the ability range, including those progressing to study at degree level.
There are also opportunities to contribute to co-curricular activities within the Junior and English departments, and we encourage applicants who can bring additional skills or interests to the role.
