Are you passionate about Audio Visual (AV) technology and have a knack for keeping systems running seamlessly? Our client, a leader in the AV sector, is looking for a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Engineer to join their innovative team.
Role Overview
As a PPM Engineer in the Audio Visual industry, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing cutting-edge AV systems. Your expertise will ensure that installations remain in optimal condition, minimizing downtime and enhancing the user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of installed AV systems, including video walls, conferencing setups, control systems, and sound equipment.
2. Identify and resolve potential issues to prevent system failures or downtime.
3. Perform firmware updates and software checks to ensure all systems are up-to-date.
4. Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and any remedial actions taken.
5. Provide client support, offering guidance on system usage and functionality.
6. Collaborate with the engineering and installation teams to enhance service delivery.
7. Adhere to industry health and safety standards while on-site.
About You:
1. Proven experience in the Audio Visual industry, with a focus on system maintenance.
2. Strong understanding of AV technologies, including Crestron, Control4, and Lutron systems.
3. Technical skills in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
4. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintenance.
5. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
6. Relevant qualifications in AV or electrical/electronic engineering are advantageous.
