As our Lead Mechanic/Workshop Manager, you will oversee the daily running of all workshop functions and activity across our site. This is a varied role, and would be ideal for an experienced Mechanic/Supervisor who is keen to expand their knowledge and develop in career.
As our Lead Mechanic/Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing the annual service process of our company fleet (diagnosing system malfunctions, isolating causes and correcting deficiencies)
2. Conducting routine vehicle/plant services & inspections as required
3. Maintaining accurate records, digital and paper, within set timeframes
4. Ensuring compliance with applicable accreditation schemes and relevant Health and Safety standards
5. Leading best practice – identifying and implementing areas of process improvement
In order to be successful as our Lead Mechanic/Workshop Manager, we would ideally like you to have the following skills/experience:
1. NVQ Level 3 Diploma – Light Vehicle Repair (or equivalent)
2. Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
3. Recent experience working in a similar workshop manager/supervisory role
4. Small plant maintenance
5. Experience working with hydraulics/auto electrics or electric/hybrid vehicle maintenance

2. You will take pride in your work, completing tasks to a high standard – self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
3. A natural ability to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues
4. Methodical approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail
This role can be physically demanding, and some tasks will be at heights. You will be required to work outside from time to time, so you must be happy to work in all that the British weather has to offer.
