Azure Infrastructure Engineer required by a smart SaaS procurement platform powering the education community. Their intelligent solution and marketplace are making procurement easier for everyone involved, which has led to significant growth across the US and UK.
You’ll be joining a fully remote tech team who are poised to triple in size this year. Its great time to come on board and play a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of our corporate network including domain, storage, M365, backup, security, and compute management across our infrastructure in Azure. As well as maintaining the azure services that our systems are built on.

Requirements
* Experience managing Azure infrastructure including Entra (Azure AD), VMs, firewalls, storage, databases, routing, etc using Microsoft servers from 2012 to current as well as native Azure services
* Strong networking and security understanding and best practices in Azure environments
* Azure monitoring and management tools (e.g. Azure Monitor, Azure Security Centre)
* Azure certification preferred, required within 90 days of hire: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications
* M365 management
* Experience using issue ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk, Jira)
* Tech support experience to end users on PC and mobile devices
* Strong communications skills with the ability to talk to tech and non-technical audiences
Bonus
* PC troubleshooting and refreshing
* Understanding of SAAS software development from a deployment / monitoring perspective
* Agile
* Familiarity with C#, SQL, Cosmos DB, Serverless technologies
* Skills in transitioning VMs to more modern Azure based services
Role
* Azure Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Azure infrastructure components, including VMs, databases, storage, and networking resources
* Collaborating with the Development, QA and SaaS Application personnel
* Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, investigate issues, and troubleshoot incidents to minimize downtime and optimize system reliability
* Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures, adhering to best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments
* Resource Optimization: Optimise Azure resources to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, including scaling, rightsizing, and implementing automation where possible.
* Technical Support: Provide expert-level support to internal teams and end-users, offering guidance, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring timely resolution of support tickets related to Azure systems.
* Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
* Keep abreast of Azure updates, new features, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and recommending relevant changes or improvements
