Administrator - Health & Safety
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
The Role
A key supplier across the rail industry delivering innovative technology solutions and services to owners and operators of the UK rail network is looking to take on a HSQE coordinator to drive best practice across the workforce, coordinating all HSEQ documentation ensuring the company remains compliant and highly organised.
You will gain exposure inside the Rail/H&S industry, to become an invaluable member of the team and be trained and upskilled to become an expert in Health and Safety.
As HSQE Coordinator you will be responsible for:
1. Checking and editing documents for accuracy and compliance.
2. Controlling the flow of documents internally and externally.
3. Accident record co-ordination including the investigation and reporting of accidents and near misses.
4. Assist in the preparation of HSQE action plans.
5. Provide clerical and administrative support to the HSQE team.
6. Maintain, review and improve HSQE management systems.
7. Ensuring the secure destruction and disposal of sensitive documents.
8. Participates in incident investigations ensuring root causes are identified.
We are seeking candidates with:
1. A strong administrative background / document control background.
2. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Experience working in the rail / construction industries.
4. Experience of working in an administrative function ideally within an HSQE environment.
5. Great communication skills, able to assimilate and get stuck in.
Desirable but not essential:
1. A NEBOSH Certificate or working towards.
