Position Snapshot Standard Operator - 9 months Nestlé Waters Buxton, Derbyshire Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off, 2 days and 2 nights - 12-hour shifts. This is an annualised hours position, with all hours worked over a 9-month period during the months of January - September. Your pay will be pro-rated over a 12-month period, meaning you will work for 9 months but receive monthly pay for 12 months. Salary: £26,617 potential bonus generous pension scheme other fantastic benefits Position Summary We are looking for Standard Operators to join our Nestlé Waters factory at our Buxton site to support the production department. A day in the life of a Standard Operator Reporting to the Line Performance Manager, your main accountability will be to achieve performance targets by operating machines and systems. In addition to this, you will be ensuring that the process runs at its optimum, producing high quality product and coordinating actions where necessary on your line. Other key responsibilities will include: - You will be responsible for the safe & efficient running of production lines, reducing lost production time by keeping repairs and breakdowns to a minimum. - Ensure high safety and quality standards are adhered to maintain a safe working environment. - Approach work with a continuous improvement mind-set. - Show ownership for the line including when a Line Leader is not present - Be a positive role model and ensure routines and standards are maintained - Provide a working style which actively involves and motivates your colleagues - Support with factory activities to achieve KPIs - The role will also require adaptability and flexibility as you may be required to work in different areas of the department and plant. What will make you successful? - You will need a practical approach to your work, along with a great can-do attitude. - You will proactively promote positive behaviours around individual and safety of others - It is essential that you can work as part of a team and be competent in problem solving skills. - The successful applicants will be able to monitor and operate equipment, identifying and responding to faults as they occur. - You will have a logical approach to your duties and be able to follow processes delivering compliance in safety, quality, cost and delivery. - Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable but not essential - role specific, on the job training will be provided. Please be aware the annual holiday hours for the position are 232.65 hours and overtime will be paid at time and a half for any hours worked above 42.59 hours. For any overtime worked between October - December the first 42.59 hours a week will be paid at basic rate and the enhanced rate of time and a half will be paid for any hours worked in excess of the standard 42.59 hours What you need to know What can we offer in return?
