Job Overview
A successful family Business based in Penwortham is looking to recruit an Apprentice to study the Data Technician course in house alongside their employment. Reporting to the Trainee Accountant working Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week, 8am to 4pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, at our Head Office in Penwortham.
This role would suit an enthusiastic individual who is looking to gain a career with hands-on experience in a thriving supportive workplace.
What you’ll do at work
* Create and update spreadsheets for Store Accounting Returns based on Sales data from 22 Retail Stores
* Assisting on Project work alongside the Trainee Accountant
* Create, update and present weekly spreadsheets Statistic Reports to the Head Office and wider business
* Collect data from Online Delivery Services and analyse details for refund disputes and review with stores for authenticity
* Assisting with attesting the stores worked hours for each staff member across the 22 stores.
* Processing External Supplier Invoices
* Moving Physical Data onto the Office Network and Microsoft One Drive
Key Responsibilities
* Checking data input to ensure accuracy and follow company policies and procedures
* Providing reports for Directors
* Ensuring all filing generated in the appropriate location.
* Completing operational training as required.
* Supporting the Payroll team and working alongside HR and Finance.
* Ensure data protection and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
* To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.
* Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and challenging environment
* Processing Accounting Returns that arrive from stores.
Ideal Candidate skills
* Excellent MS Excel.
* Strong verbal & written communication skills with attention to detail.
* Organised & self-motivated with a “can do” mindset and the ability to work at a fast pace, resolve issues and improve processes.
* Excellent attention to detail and a getting it right first time mentality.
* Effective team member.
Candidate Requirements
GCSE in:
* English (Grade 4 or above)
* Maths (Grade 4 or above)
* I.T (Grade 4 or above)
Key Details
* Annual Wage - £23,400
* Possible Start Date – Immediate
* Duration - 12 - 15 months plus end-point assessment
* Qualification achieved: Level 3 Data Technician
* Study modes: Online teaching, coaching and workplace development

Your training plan
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Working towards Level 3 Data technician apprenticeship standard including any necessary Functional Skills or additional qualifications. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Learning Curve Group.
