Administrative Assistant - SEN Team (Maternity Cover)
Salary: NJC 5-7 £19,469 - £20,123 (actual), £22,737-£23,500 (pro rata)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + 5 days)
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover (until August 2025)

We are seeking a reliable, well-organised, and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our supportive and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) team at Firth Park Academy.
- As an Administrative Assistant within our SEN team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the department.
- You will need to manage multiple priorities and use your initiative to plan and coordinate interventions, contributing directly to the educational outcomes of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
- Use initiative to support and coordinate SEN interventions
- Maintain confidentiality in a sensitive working environment
- Support the SEN team with administrative tasks, including handling SEN-related processes and procedures
We're looking for someone who is organised, compassionate, and driven by a desire to make a real impact.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in administration, particularly within an educational or SEN setting, or transferable skills
- An understanding of SEN processes (advantageous)
- A flexible, creative, and innovative approach to raising student expectations and achievements
- A compassionate approach and a commitment to helping young people succeed
