An independent day and boarding preparatory school for boys aged 6–13 in Ascot, catering for approximately 300 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, and supper along with match teas. This is a term-time only contract operating Monday to Sunday, with a working pattern of 5 over 7 days. This location benefits from free meals and free parking on site.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Ascot.
You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
* Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
* Great team player
* Help the Chefs with some food prep
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems
* Operate industrial dishwasher
We are looking for:
* Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
* Organisational skills
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills
* Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
